Origamy class in Finland
WE'RE BACK!
IMAGES FROM A 'CORRUGATIONS' WEEK AT AALTO UNIVERSITY, FINLAND
Almost 5 weeks ago and without warning, Facebook excluded us from our several accounts. We couldn't even log in to see other people's pages. The reason was that we had failed to install some security software called 'Facebook Protect', which I don't remember ever being asked to install and certainly never saw an explicit warning to install, or have access to Facebook denied to us.
No problem. We simply had to follow onscreen instructions to install the security software and re-establish contact with our pages …except that the SMS Meta were supposed to send us containing an access code, never arrived. Looking around, it seemed like many thousands of similarly angry FB users had the same 'no SMS' problem. We were stuck. No online fix or hack worked and Meta didn't have an answer. Then I was away in Finland and kinda got used to not having FB.
Today, an email unexpectedly arrived from Meta saying we could access our pages again.
If we STAY connected or get booted out again …who knows?
Anyway, here are some photos, 10-days late, from a week I spent teaching origami corrugations to students and professionals at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. It was a really wonderful week, mainly due to the efforts and enthusiasm of Kirsi Peltonen, to whom I offer deep thanks.
I hope you enjoy the images. 😊
