French Leduc .22 Ramjet Interceptor

1952 – French Leduc .22 Ramjet Interceptor – pilot sat in front of the intake. First flown 26 Dec 1956 on turbojet power alone, ramjet was finally fired on 34th flight, on 18 May 1957. Another 80 flights took place before cancellation of project for Dassault Mirage III.
